Input vs. studying

Study is the scaffolding; input is the building.

The ratio over time

Stage 0–1: ~50/50. You need a vocabulary seed (~1,000 words via Anki) and one skim of the grammar guide to make anything comprehensible.
Stage 2: ~30/70. Anki continues (now from sentence mining), grammar becomes look-up-driven.
Stage 3+: ~15/85. Study is a maintenance habit; input is your life in Hungarian.

What counts as study

Anki reviews · reading the grammar guide · looking up words · intensive reading of hard sentences.

What counts as input

Everything you read, watch, or listen to in Hungarian for the content — even with a dictionary hovering nearby.
